Product details

Introduction

stainless steel I section (also stainless steel H section beam or stainless steel structural steel beam) is a hot rolled stainless steel beam offering a corrosion resistant stainless steel beam solution for heavy‑load structural applications. Available in standard grades including 304 stainless steel I beam316 stainless steel H beam316L stainless steel beam, and duplex stainless steel beam, these beams provide high moment of inertia and bending resistance. The I‑shaped profile (narrow flange) and H‑shaped profile (wide flange) offer efficient load distribution for columns, girders, and framework.

Classification

1.According to the flange width of the product:

(1)Wide flange H-beam:width(B)≥height(H)

(2)Medium flange H-beam:width(B)≥height(H)

(3)Narrow flange H-beam:width(B)=1/2 height(H)

2.According to product use:

(1)H-shaped steel beams

(2)H-shaped steel columns

(3)H-shaped steel piles

(4)Extremely thick flange H-shaped steel beams

3.According to the production method:

(1)Welded H-beam

(2)Rolled H-beam

Welding H-shaped steel has the disadvantages of high metal consumption, difficulty in ensuring uniform product performance, and limited size specifications. Therefore, H-shaped steel is mainly produced by rolling method. In modern steel rolling production, universal rolling mills are used to roll H-shaped steel.

4.According to the size:

(1)Large H-beam:height(H)>700mm

(2)Medium H-beam:700mm>height(H)>300mm

(3)Small H-beam:height<300mm

Standard:AISI, ASTM, BS, DIN, GB, JIS etc.

Applications

(1)Construction – Stainless steel I beam for construction (industrial buildings, warehouses, commercial structures) delivers long‑term structural integrity without protective coatings, reducing maintenance costs in corrosive environments.

(2)Structural support – Stainless steel beam for structural support (equipment skids, crane runways, mezzanine floors, platform framing) offers high load‑carrying capacity and weldability, with 316L grade for coastal or chemical plant exposure.

(3)Building framework – Stainless steel beam for building framework (high‑rise facades, architectural exposed structures, canopies, stair stringers) combines strength with aesthetic appeal, resisting atmospheric corrosion without painting.

(4)Bridge – Stainless steel beam for bridge (pedestrian bridges, highway overpasses, tidal zone bridge components) withstands deicing salts and marine spray, with duplex grades providing twice the yield strength of austenitic alloys.

(5)Marine – Stainless steel beam for marine (dock fenders, shipbuilding frames, offshore platform girders, port facility structures) resists chloride pitting and crevice corrosion, with 316L or duplex grades preferred for seawater splash zones.
