Introduction

Duplex 2205 Stainless Steel Plate (also known as 2205 Duplex Plate, Duplex Steel 2205 Plate, UNS S32205 Plate, UNS S31803 Plate, 2205 Stainless Steel Sheet) is a nitrogen‑enhanced duplex stainless steel with a balanced austenitic‑ferritic microstructure. It offers approximately twice the yield strength of 316L while providing outstanding resistance to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. It conforms to ASTM A240 Duplex 2205 Plate, ASME SA240 Duplex 2205, and EN 1.4462 Plate. This high strength duplex steel plate is widely used in pressure vessels, offshore platforms, storage tanks, heat exchangers, desalination plants, and chemical processing equipment.

• Excellent chloride resistance – PREN (Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number) ≥ 35, providing outstanding protection against pitting and crevice corrosion in high‑chloride environments such as seawater and brine

• Duplex 2205 plate for pressure vessels – ASME Code stamped vessels for high‑pressure, corrosive service such as amine regenerators, sour water strippers, and hot oil filters.
